MightyMake Langrisser Mobile Guide

5/29/2019: Langrisser Mobile is a strategy/roleplaying game reimagine from the Langrisser series from the early nineties. The mobile version was first released in China, and later on, released in the United States in early 2019. The game is very diverse to ensure that players do not get bored. The following is an overview of the different activities that commanders can do while playing Langrisser Mobile:
  • Main Story: Follows Matthew’s quest against the Empire.
  • Time Rift: Follows the story from previous Langrisser games.
  • Arena: Player versus Player action which allows Commanders to test their team and earn bragging rights.
  • Joint Battles: This event joins Commanders together to battle difficult levels.
  • Guild Events: Guild team battles are used to earn guild points.
  • Special Events: Different special events are used to gain themed awards (such as the Swimsuit event).
  • Daily Activities: Daily activities allows Commanders to gain resources for character/equipment development.
The developers do an excellent job of releasing updated content and activities. China receives the update to the game before the rest of the world and allows United States players to see what will be coming out before it hits the United States.
The game can be played on Android/iOS and PC with an Android client application. While updates are released at the same time for both systems, iOS has been known to delay the release due to the review process, and Android users tend to receive the update faster.
As of May 2019, the game takes up about 2.58 GB of Storage on an Android system. The game requires an internet connection to play. The game has used about 350 MD of data from Feb 2019 – May 2019, but I tried to play mainly with Wi-Fi connection. The updates can be very large with big events being greater than 1 GB download. The game, on average, gets about two updates a month.
I run this game on a middle-of-the-road Moto Android phone just fine. My friend runs this game on a top end Apple iPhone. The only noticeable difference between his phone and my phone is that his phone can load the battles faster, but the animation/graphics/smoothness is the same. I have not heard of any performance issues for this game on different types of phone.
The game has an excellent fan base and has a presence on Discord, Reddit, and Facebook were ideas and questions are exchanged. When you create an account, I do recommend that you use your email account to register. There have been complaints that Facebook registers experience wiped accounts after game updates, and it is a hassle for account restoration.
This guide is a consolidation of information from personal experience and message boards. It will be updated as concepts and strategies are better defined and new characters are released. This guide may reflect my playing style and my opinions. There may be better ways to overcome battles, but that is the beauty of this game. This game allows more than one way, strategy, or character combination to overcome the battles, and you have to figure out your own unique playing style.
